This vacuum is great on hardwood floors and rugs, goes from one to the other with ease. You can adjust from hardwood floor to shag its with just a twist of the dial and yes it has attachments for high places. I do the corners of the ceilings with it. Love this Vacuum.

Is this good for hardwood floors and area rugs? Also can the attachments reach higher space places like curtains?
Does this unit pick up pet hair very well?
Works great for pet hair on all surfaces even the furniture. I have model U1400 with 20KPa.
Has anyone owned this for a while and not had any issues with it? And are you happy with this purchase?
I have owned it since early November. So far I have had no issues. Excellent vacuum power. Will lift area rugs off the floor. Use it daily for quick cleanups and weekly to clean entire 2000 sf house. House is all hardwood with some area rugs. Battery lasts about 30 minutes which is enough time to do the whole house. Very satisfied.
How gentle is it for area rugs and floors?
Excellent product and for area rugs it is great.
how long is the hose?
Long enough. It's very stretchy, it's about 30" without expanding and 60" with.
Does the dog hair and other types of hair wrap arount the roller and have to be cut off?
We have 3 cats who shed and I have not had a problem so far. It seems to do a great job on my rugs. I really love it.
